I just happened to be scrolling through some local event calendars and was pretty impressed with what DPAC has to offer through the fall months. Whether you’re a Broadway fan or into good music, DPAC has you covered. You should check out the DPAC Events Calendar for all of the details, but here are my highlights from their next couple of months.
Nick Swardson – Taste It Tour
If you have’t seen any of Nick Swardson’s comedy, definitely go online and check it out. He’s a talented and hilarious guy with quite the resume. He’s had a hand in a ton of movies (acting and writing) including Just Go With It, You Don’t Mess With the Zohan, and Grown Ups 2. He was a star on the Comedy Central series Reno 911 and has made a recent appearance on Portlandia. These are just a few of the projects Nick Swardson has been a part of. Check out some of his comedy videos and then get your tickets to see him at DPAC.
The Phantom of the Opera
October 8 -19
Definitely a Broadway classic, Phantom of the Opera is coming to DPAC bigger and better than ever before. With captivating special effects and new choreography, this production of Andrew Llyod Weber’s Masterpiece is sure to thrill whoever is in the audience. I’m a huge fan of musicals, but I’ve actually never seen this show. I’m wondering if I should try to catch it while it’s right here in town! (Buy tickets to see Phantom of the Opera at DPAC.)
Phillip Phillips (with special guest Saints of Valor)
It’s his first time headlining in the Triangle and this is definitely a show I would love to go to. With hits like Gone, Gone, Gone and Home Phillip Phillips has gained a huge fanbase. What’s not to love about his earnest lyrics and earthy voice? Heading to this show would be a great way to spend a night with some chill, folk rock inspired music.
